Before BB was born I learned about a friend who as the year progressed organized all of her photos into the hardcover books that you can order from Shutterfly or Snapfish or (what I think will be) my favorite Blurb and then at the beginning of the next year, she orders the book for the previous year and family photos are preserved (in a more entertaining and accessible way than a hard drive). I had every intention of doing this but as is the case with many things I intend to do, I couldn’t get it quite right (didn’t like the layouts on many of the sites at the time plus having to log on to the internet and be at the mercy of my ISP was frustrating) and so did nothing. I resolve to do start and perhaps catch up on some of the 27 months of BB’s life that is undocumented (at least in an organized fashion). I started where I was (early August) and did my first pages. July 31 we rode Thomas the Train in Bryson City, NC and now I have 4 pages for my 2011 book. Yay. Feels good.
I can’t post the pages (or at least I don’t know how), but here are a few shots from the day.
As an aside, the 20 minute train ride has generated at least 20 hours of conversation (ok, that might be exaggerating a bit) and was therefore worth the $1 per minute of train ride per passenger price of admission.
